The sauna was nice & fit 5 okay, could have squeezed one more in. Pool seemed a little cold but hot tub nice other than stuff floating in water, don't know what & don't want to know. We did not notice noise in hallway or smoke in elevator shaft as previous post mentioned. The bathroom is one of the nicer ones I have seen & think tiles are heated. I seen that others posted about finding candy wrappers & walla! Me too. We had King, room was spacious & clean other than 3 candy wrappers next to tv & bench. The rooms were nice & similar to Greektown Casino Hotel. We checked in an hour early with no issues. First, the good.We sat in the lobby bar/hotel bar & picked our time to check-in.

We stayed the evening of Feb 3, Super Bowl Sunday in Room 821. Let's see if management listens to its guests and makes the necessary improvements. No doubt this could be a four-star resort but for now, it's an upscale Quality Inn. No live entertainment although there is a conference center that features top acts on a monthly basis. The buffet and food court are way too small and the buffet is not open for breakfast. The casino is top notch and features Nibi, their upscale restaurant and lounge. It is like the architect and designers got together and said 'How uncomfortable can we make this for our guests?' The second day we left the hotel for breakfast (Pancake House in Battle Creek). We opted for breakfast (how bad can that be?) and it is pretty bad. The hotel restaurant Smokin' Fire looks right out of 70's and the comfort level is about the same. The fitness center has 5 machines and no weights. But only a few lounge chairs so tough to relax. The pool area has a large whirlpool, steam and sauna. There is a pool albeit only 3' deep and not good for lap swimming. Coffee maker and coffee is so bad, bring your own. The rooms are Holiday Inn Express quality with low end amenities, pillows and shower head. We showed up at 3PM and although there were plenty of rooms available, they made us wait. Check-in isn't until 4PM which is too late. The casino has been open for four years and finally the hotel opened a few months ago. We were excited to visit this new property.
